Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. Feb. 25, 2012

LAKE ODESSA, MI- Beulah Beland, age 92, of Lake Odessa, died Wednesday, 
February 22, 2012 at Green Acres Independent Living in Ionia.

She was born July 9, 1919 in Hastings, the daughter of Emery and Magdalena 
(Gackler) Kime.

Beulah graduated from Clarksville High School, worked at Norcutt's Grocery and 
the supported the war effort working at AC Spark Plug in Ionia.

Beulah married Henry Beland on May 15, 1943. She was a member of the Farm 
Bureau, Grange, Central United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the 
Blue Star Mothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Glen Kime.

Surviving is her husband of nearly 69 years, Henry; daughter, Sandra (Max) 
Bennett of Midland; son, Dallas Beland of Lake Odessa; five grandchildren; 
eight great grandchildren. 

According to her wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service at 
Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Beulah's name may be directed to Central United 
Methodist Church, P.O. Box 485, Lake Odessa, MI 48849.
