HENRY BELAND SR DIED THURSDAY
   Henry A. Beland, Sr., 78, passed away early Thursday morning at the Ionia County
Memorial hospital where 
he had been a patient since Sunday.
   He reposes at the residence where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30
a.m. and at the St. 
Edwards church at 10.
   Burial in Lakeside cemetery.  Fr. Stephen Kolenic officiating.

HENRY BELAND SR DIED THURSDAY
   Henry Beland Sr. 78 of route 1, passed away early Thursday morning at the Ionia
County Memorial hospital 
where he was admitted as a patient Sunday.
   He was born in Ashcum, Ill, and came to the Sunfield area in 1925 moving to the
farm west of town in 1937 
and to their present home several years ago.
   He was a member of the St. Edwards church and Farm Bureau.
   Surviving are his wife Rosa, whom he married at Loda, Ill, Feb 10, 1909, three
daughters, Mrs. Gladys White, 
Lake Odessa, Mrs. Leah Cross of Portland route 1, Mrs. Rosa Fleetham of Sunfield; 
two sons Henry Jr. of Lake 
Odessa and Thomas of Holt; one sister Mrs. Ella Houston of Kushvill, Ill., two
brothers William of Stanbeyville, 
Iowa and Lester of Bloomington, Ill, 14 grand children and 1 great grand child.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 at the St. Edwards church with burial
in Lakeside cemetery.  Fr. 
Stephen Kolenic officiated.
