The funeral was held at the D.B. church, Rev. Scouten officiating, and interment was made in Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. Bell was 68 years of age and was born in Canada, and when married went to Oakland county, near Detroit, moving to a farm in the northern part of Odessa township a few years later, where her husband died. About four years ago she began to fail in health, but not until a year ago did she tell her children what the trouble was and since then she has gradually failed, until death released her from her suffering. We are informed that she leaves six daughters, one of whom is Mrs. John Leak of Sebewa, and four sons to mourn the loss, all of whom attended the funeral but two sons who are in the west and could not get here. Despite the fact that it was thirteen years ago since she left here, a large concourse of friends gathered at the church to hear the last sad rites.
