The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 16, 1897
Geo. T. Bell, whose home was about one and a half miles north-west of city, 
died Sunday, after a long illness.  He was 72 years of age, and served during 
the war in the 7th California infantry.  The funeral was held at Easton 
church, at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
