He was born on September 5, 1953 full of life and love the son of Joyce Martin and Robert Benbow. Buddy was well loved by all, his family, his friends, his church and co- workers. He always shared words of encouragement, sincere hugs, laughter and love with all. Buddy played guitar for the Portland Church of the Nazarene Praise Band, he loved to sing for the Lord. He was a talented musician, whose music will be missed! He was a loving and faithful husband for over 37 years to his wife, Katie. They shared a rare, deep love that many envied. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Surviving are his wife and best friend, Katie; son, Mark; daughter, Nicole (Ben Quinn); grandchildren Austin, Tiara (Steele), Cierra, Macy and Logan Quinn; mother Joyce Martin; Brothers and sisters Mick (Bev) Benbow, Diane(Dar) Benjamin, Steve Benbow, Bruce (Kathy) Benbow and Debbie Butler. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Portland Church of the Nazarene. A memorial visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.. Donations may be made in his name to the Portland Nazarene Praise Band Fund at the church.
