Mr. Benedict had lived at his farm home for 35 years. For the last two years his health had been failing and he recently moved into the city at 218 West Lincoln avenue, where he died. His father, Loren Benedict, was one of the early pioneers of the county. Those who survive besides the widow are seven children, three daughters, Lula, Ella and Hattie, living at home and four sons, Dr. Loren Benedict of Ionia, Ralph of Detroit and Ira and Frank of Lansing. Funeral on Saturday from the home at 2 o’clock. Rev. R. E. Meader officiating; interment in the Balcom cemetery.
