Benedict, 53, whose death attributed to a fall from a ladder, or to an attack of heart disease, occurred there Thursday. Mr. Benedict was preparing a Lansing house for occupancy, and was working there alone. His body was found in the house, and was identified by his son, Robert, a student at Michigan State college, nearby. Burial was at Balcom cemetery. Mr. Benedict had been a resident of Lansing for the past five years. He was born in Berlin township, and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Hattie Benedict; two sons, Robert, a student in medical biology at Michigan State, and Russell, a pharmacist, of Pontiac; three sisters, Misses Lula, Ella and Hattie Benedict and two brothers, Dr. L.D. Benedict of Ionia, and Ira, of Lansing.
