Benedict, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. P. D. Heminover, in Detroit, Sunday morning at the age of 82. She went to the city last fall to spend the winter and had been in fairly good health up to the time of her death, which resulted from heart trouble. The remains were brought to the home of her niece, Mrs. Peter Grieve, Monday, where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00. Members of the Ladies’ Literary club, of which Mrs. Benedict was a charter member, will attend in a body. Revs. John H. and James A. Stewart will officiate. Mrs. Benedict’s maiden name was Bernard and she was born in North Plains township on what is now a part of the Brad Hayes farm. She married Mr. Benedict more than 50 years ago, his death having occurred soon after the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Besides the daughter above mentioned there are two other children—Don, who is a professor at Temple university in Philadelphia, and Dale, who resides in Hollywood, Cal.
