Mrs. Benedict before her marriage was Miss Drusella Wolverton and was born at Wolverton Plains, Montcalm county. She attended the Ionia high school and taught several of the rural schools. She was an active worker in the church organizations and Sunday schools and had been a member of the LeValley Methodist Episcopal church since she was 11 years of age. Mrs. Benedict is survived by six children, Mrs. Albert Hinds, of Orange township; Earl F. Benedict, of Muir; Ross W. Benedict, of Ionia; Elmer Benedict, Miss Anna L. Benedict, who has been a constant attendant of her mother, and Floyd Benedict, all of Orange township, and one brother, Elmer Wolverton.
