The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, July 11, 1940

Grave services for Miss Cornelia Benedict were held Thursday morning at the 
Balcom cemetery in Berlin township. Rev. Simpson, formerly of the Presbyterian 
church in Ionia, officiated.  Attending the services from out-of-town were two 
nieces, Miss Susan T. Canfield and Miss Antonette Canfield, both of Pittsburg, 
Pa. and Mrs. Will Versluis and Miss Ada Kelesy, both of Grand Rapids and Mr. 
and Mrs. Joel Benedict of Clarksville.
