The Ionia Daily Standard, Tuesday, April 17, 1894

Lewis N. Benedict, of Orange, died Saturday, and was buried from the Hall 
school house yesterday.  His age was 67.  For several years he was a resident 
of this city, and was well known and highly respected here.
