Roger Benedict, aged 74, of Saranac, passed away Feb. 6, 2009.  He was born 
Nov. 5, 1934 in Lowell, Mich., the son of Charles and Florence K. (Parker) 
Benedict.  Roger married Karoline Biernacki Nov. 27, 1999 at LeValley Church.  
She preceded him in death Jan. 19, 2009.  He attended St. Edwards Catholic 
Church. Roger received a Master Gardening degree from MSU.  He was a past 
treasurer at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Bloomfield Hills.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Marie (Mike) Hull of Oxford; 2 
grandchildren, Haley and Christa Hull of Oxford; step grandson, Mike Hull of 
Chicago; brother, Earl (Carolyn) Benedict of Saranac; niece, Connie (Joe) 
Orlosky of Saranac and great-niece and nephews Joey, Ashley and Josh.  He is 
preceded in death by his parents and 1 nephew, Charles.

Memorial services will be held Saturday 12 p.m. March 21 at St. Edwards 
Catholic Church with Father Phil Shangraw and Rev. Dr. Jack Brown 
officiating.  The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday 11:00 
a.m. until time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers you may make 
memorial contributions to St. Edwards Catholic Church.  Funeral arrangements 
by Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
