Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 Aug 1978

Don M. Benedict, 91, of 7625 Lyons Rd., died Monday at the Provincial House in
Lansing.  He was born October 29, 1886 in Portland, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Benedict.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Janet Caton of Richboro, Pennsylvania; one
grandson, John Caton of Portland and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Friday at 11 am from the Neller funeral home with Pastor Dow
Chamberlain officiating.  Burial was in Portland cemetery.  Bearers were John
and Vincent Caton, Donald Cobb, Robert Fox, Roy Kissane and Dr. Howard Stein.
