EARL R. BENEDICT
Earl R. Benedict, 78, of Saranac passed away March 10, 2016. He was born Nov. 6,
1937 in Saranac the son of Charles and Florence (Parker) Benedict.

Earl graduated from Saranac High School, Class of 1956, He married Carolyn Warner on
April 21, 1957 in Saranac. She passed away on April 10, 2015. Earl farmed all his
life. He drove the school bus for Ionia Public Schools. Earl was a member of the Berlin
Center church and member of the Masonic Lodge, Ionia Farm Power, Kellogg's farmer Group and
Saranac American Legion.

Earl is survived by his daughter, Connie (Joe) Orlowski of Saranac; grandchildren,
Ashley (Josh) Ryan of Charlotte, Josh Orlowski of Saranac; and great-grandchild, Cooper
Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Benedict; son, Charles
Benedict; and brother, Roger Benedict.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 11 a.m. at Berlin Center Church
with Pastor Ray Sundell officiating. Interment at Saranac Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
