Ionia County News (Pg. 11) - Thursday, Sept. 29, 1960

Nellie A. Benedict,  84, longtime resident of Ionia, passed away, Wednesday, 
September 21, in a Lansing hospital following a long illness.

Mrs. Benedict had lived in Lansing with her two daughters for the past two 
years. Survivors include the daughters, Mrs. Doris McKouhen and Mrs. Batty 
Staggemeir, both of Lansing; a son, Barton L. Benedict, of Grand Raids, six 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 24, at 3:00 pm at the Ionia 
Methodist Church. Burial was in Balcom cemetery in Ionia.
