She was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Lee Dunham and Mabel Sigrid Dunham (nee Johnson); husband of 61 years Richard M. Benedict and sister Mary Louise Geiger. Survived by children, Janet (John) McGough, Jodie (Thomas) Przybylski, James (Terri) Benedict and Jeanne D. Benedict; grandchildren, Danielle N. (Eric) Anderson, E. Scott (Christin) Frantz, Cameron J. (Cassie) Benedict, Justin B. Benedict and Gavin R. Benedict; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Ava, Cole, Reed Anderson and Cooper Frantz; many nieces and nephews and extended family. Doris graduated from Lake Odessa HS Class of 1947. Doris was a hair stylist and then became a homemaker after marriage. She was a longtime Girl Scout Troop Leader and an assistant Den Mother. She was a longtime volunteer at Advent Lutheran Church in the Altar Guild, Women’s group and she served on Advent church council many times. Doris loved her family. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing and Sunrise on the Scioto, truly angels do walk the earth. Visitation will be at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. Celebration of Life Service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 3660 Kenny Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220 at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, with Rev. Aaron Layne officiating. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice. P.O.
