The Ionia Standard, Friday, November 23, 1883


Mrs. Permelia Benedict, wife of L. N. Benedict, died in Orange on the 17th 
inst.  She was 51 years old.  The funeral was held at the Coleman church and 
the remains taken to Portland for burial.  The services were conducted by Rev. 
Mr. Orwick.  Mrs. Benedict was well known in Ionia, where she lived for 
several years.
