Dale Marie Benedict "Oodles the Clown" of Ionia, age 50, passed away on 
Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007.  She was born on Aug. 22, 1956 in Ionia the daughter 
of John R. and Marjorie Benedict. She enjoyed theater, performing at parties 
as " Oodles the Clown", singing telegrams and playing practical jokes. Dale 
also worked at WION for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie. Surviving are her father, 
John R.; siblings, Deborah Benedict of Lansing, DeeAnn (Charles) Prince of 
Kalamazoo, Michael (Mila) Benedict of El Cerrito, Calif.; niece, Lauren Prince 
and nephew, John Michael Benedict.

A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Nancy Patera at 11 a.m., Tuesday, 
Aug. 21, 2007 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St. Ionia. 
Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends 2 
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. For those wishing memorial 
contributions may be made to the Ionia Community Theater or Little Peoples 
Research Fund in memory of Dale.
