The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, March 20, 1990
Lucille M. Bengel, 74, of 817 N. Clinton, Grand Ledge, died March 18 of 
injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born October 31, 1915 
to Frank and Catherine Peiffer Baker.

Surviving are three sons, Carl A. of Jackson, Arnold J. of Lansing and James 
C. of Grand Ledge; two daughters, Kathryn Davern of Grand Ledge and Anne 
Bengal of Grand Ledge; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Rita McGrain of Lansing.

Scripture services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Neller Funeral Home, 
Portland.  Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. 
Michael’s Church, Grand Ledge, the Rev. Philip Sessions officiating.  Burial 
is in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
