Mrs. Hetty F. Benjamin died Saturday afternoon, October 27, at the home of her 
son, Bert G. Benjamin, southeast of Lyons on Route 1, Pewamo.  She had been ill 
for some time, seriously for the past month.

She was born November 6, 1862, the daughter of George D. and Nancy Stiles at 
Hancock.  She taught school for some time and in 1882 she was married to Frank 
Benjamin of Lyons.  They lived all their married life in this vicinity.

Surviving are a son, Bert G., of Pewamo; four grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Miss Ida Stiles, 
Pewamo Route 1.

Funeral services will be conducted from the family home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with 
the Rev. Earl F. Buffum, pastor of the Lyons Baptist church, officiating.  
Interment will be in Lyons cemetery.

Bearers will be three grandsons, Otto Benjamin of Grand Rapids, William of 
Pewamo, Route 1 and Bert, Jr. of Lansing, a grandson, Dale C. Hull, of Ossineke 
and Claude and Frank Townsend of Muir.
