The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 12, 1966

Mrs. Lulu E. Bennett, 91, passed away early Sunday at Carson city hospital 
where she had been admitted five weeks ago.  She was born in Ronald township, 
August 1, 1875 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lanson Mosher.

Mrs. Bennett attended Ronald Center school and Ionia high school and married 
William H. Bennett, February 23, 1898.  Mr. Bennett passed away in February of 
1957.  Following their marriage they lived in Ronald township, two years in 
Lansing, and 53 years in Muir and Lyons area.  She was a member of Ronald 
Grange and old Ronald Literary club.  She also was a member of the First 
Christian church of Ionia and a life member and past worthy matron of the 
Evergreen chapter OES in Lyons.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Kimball and Mrs. Marian Waters, Ash 
Flatt, Ark., son Joseph Bennett of Lansing, eight grandchildren, 32 great 
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian church in Muir.  Rev. 
Roger Wright will officiate and burial will be in Muir cemetery.  The body 
will repose at the Shaw Rivett funeral home until noon Wednesday.
