Ionia Sentinel-Standard, April 29, 1938

Mrs. Fred Bennett of Orleans township died at her home at 3 o’clock Friday 
morning after an illness of 10 days at the age of 69.  She was born in New York 
state March 6, 1869, and was married to Fred Bennett March 6, 1889, who 
survives.

Two children, Roy Bennett of Orleans and Mrs. Hazel Durfey of Grand Rapids and 
six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon, May 1, at 3 
o’clock with the Rev. Ellis of Belding officiating.  Interment will be in 
Orleans cemetery.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was the 
daughter of Dorus C. Perry and Elizabeth Vedder.]
