Ionia Sentinel Standard - Feb. 15, 2011

Robert L. Bennett of Lansing, formerly of Lake Odessa, passed away Friday, 
February 11, 2011 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

He was born February 1. 1955, the son of Herbert and Elizabeth (Simms) Bennett 
and was a 1972 graduate of Lakewood High School.

He married Bonnie Thornton on June 19, 1976 in Charlotte, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie; 
children, LeJean (Carl) Wing of Lansing, Christine (James) Harrison of Lansing 
and Robert (Nicole) Bennett of Lansing; grandchildren. Josie Foster, Cory 
Bennett, Mercedez Wing, Bernie Wing, Harley Wing and Cheyenne Bennett; brother 
Max Bennett of Colorado, sisters Esther Dreves of Williamston and Barbara 
Gunter of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Visitation will be held on from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15th at the Koops 
Funeral Chapel - Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on 
Wednesday, February 16th at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Interment 
Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.
