Orland Clifton Bennett, 70, died Tuesday afternoon at Ionia County Memorial
hospital following a short illness.  He was born July 23, 1899 in Grand Rapids
the son of Clifton and Anna Bennett.  Until his retirement in 1967 he was
employed at Motor Wheel in Lansing, then moved to a farm near Ovid.  He recently
came to Muir to make his home with his brother, Edward Bennett.  He was a member
of Odd Fellows lodge.

Surviving are two brothers, Edward of Muir and Robert of Whitmore Lake.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Christian church in Muir.
 Rev. Roger Wright will officiate and interment will be at Muir cemetery.  Until
time for services Mr. Bennett will be at Shaw Rivett Hull funeral home in Muir.
