Mrs. Bessie E. Bennett, 40, of Ionia township died at the Ionia County Memorial 
hospital Wednesday night where she had been a medical patient for several 
weeks.  Mrs. Bennett had been in poor health for ten months.  She was born 
September 7, 1908, in Orange and had spent her entire life in this county.

She leaves her husband, Edgar, four children, Kenneth and Harold Harley and 
Richard and Robert Carten; and her mother, Mrs. Ethel Steele of Ionia township.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Myers 
funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.  Interment will be in 
Highland Park cemetery.
