Bennett, a life long resident of Orleans township, died Sunday at his home on the farm on which he was born, July 31, 1867. He was married in 1889 and his wife preceded him in death several years ago. His survivors are one son Roy, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Durfey, of Grand Rapids, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 o’clock at Fales-Huffman Funeral Home, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, and burial was in Orleans cemetery. Pall bearers were Rollie Young, Ernest Leach, G. E. Peterson, Nelson Haysmer, Chas. Stoddard, and Walter Yeomans.
