Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Dianna L. Bennett (Dianna, like the princess), 40, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 
2002 in Ionia.

She was born April 14, 1961, in Greenville, the daughter of Gary and Judy 
(Sherman) Bishop.  She went on to marry C.J. Bennett June 10, 1978, in Lyons.  
She graduated from Ionia High School in 1978, and Cornerstone College in 2000.  
She was a member of Lyons-Muir Church, its Bell Choir, a fund raiser volunteer, 
on its Board of Directors and a choir member.  She worked for the State of 
Michigan for 13 years.

She is survived by her husband, C.J. Bennett of Ionia; children, Jennifer 
(Charlie) Hull of Ionia, Jared Bennett at home and Jack Bennett at home; 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bishop of Muir; brother Gary (Mary) Bishop of Palo; 
sisters, Lalonnie (Butch) Nave of Lyons and Susie Bussell of Stanton; two 
sisters-in-law, Laura Bennett and Lorraine Fleisher; grandmother, Hazel 
(Robert) Johnson of Maple Rapids; mother-in-law, Wanda Eckley of Ionia; one 
granddaughter, Anna; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Lyons-Muir Church with 
Rev. Lynn Wagner officiating.  Visitation is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 
8:30 p.m., Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Muir.

Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the church or the family.
