Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Dec 1949

Mrs. Clarissa Bennett, 80, of 322 Fargo street died at 3 a.m. Sunday at the 
Ionia County Memorial hospital after being a patient there for a few days.

She was born June 26, 1869.  For many years she made her home in Ionia with a 
daughter, Mrs. Mae Helmes, who survives her.

Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Earl Toleson, of Shiloh, nineteen 
grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Her body will repose at Strouse funeral home in Stanton until Wednesday at 
12:30 p.m. when she will be taken to the Ionia Evangelical church.  Her body 
will rest there until 2 p.m. when services will be held.  The Rev. A.R. Kuehn 
will officiate.  Interment will be in the family lot in Forest Hill cemetery in 
Stanton.
