Margaret Lenore Bennett, age 100, passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2013 at 
Cottage Grove Estate with her caretaker, Mary Bishop at her side and Ma loved 
her very much.   She was born on Feb. 14, 1913, and was always proud to be a 
Valentine's Day baby.  Ma loved to play cards, fishing and being with her 
family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James in 1985; sons, 
James, Charles and three infants; granddaughter, Brenda Hatt; grandsons John 
and Kim; daughter-in-law, Bertha and son-in-law, Herb Hatt. 

Surviving are her children, George (Wanda) Bennett, Walter (Barbara) Bennett, 
Robert (Patricia) Bennett and Clarabelle Hatt; 23 grandchildren; many great 
grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

A special thanks to Ionia Area Hospice and Mary for their loving care given to 
our mother. 

The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Shane Prewitt, Shiloh Community 
Church, at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich 
St., Ionia.  Interment will be at Tuttle Cemetery.  The family will receive 
friend 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the funeral home.  The funeral 
luncheon will be held at Shiloh Community Church, 8197 Heth St., Orleans after 
the burial.
