Ionia Sentinel-Standard 1/11/1967
   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, (MI), Wednesday, January 11, 1967, p 2:  "Deaths -
MRS. ALMA BENNETT, 78, formerly of Ionia, died at her home Monday.  She had
resided at 322 East Oak street in Harrison since 1963.
   Mrs. Bennett was born in Berlin township, August 11, 1888 and was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Pickens.
   December 19, 1906 she was married to Charles R. Bennett in Ionia and
celebrated a golden wedding anniversary.  Mr. Bennett preceded her in death July
25, 1964.
   Mrs. Bennett was a former resident of Berlin and Orange townships and Ionia.
   Surviving are one son, Hobart Bennett of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Carmen
Petersen of Harrison; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with
burial at Balcom cemetery."

   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, (MI):  "MRS. ALMA BENNETT - Rev. Daniel Wolfe
officiated at funeral services Friday for Mrs. Alma Bennett.
   Bearers were Harold Harwood, Elmer Trierweiler, Leonard Hausserman, Cleo
Scutt, Elmer Miller and William Kneale with interment at Balcom cemetery.
   Friends and relatives attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Carmen
Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hauter of Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Long of
Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Pickens of Detroit."
