Saranac Advertiser 7/25/1895
    SARANAC ADVERTISER, 7-25-1895:  "Mr. Jerome Bennett died Sunday night of
sickness of short duration.  Sunday evening he drove his cows up, and was around
about his chores as usual, but before morning he was dead.  He was an old
settler in Berlin and was an honest and upright man.  Funeral services were held
from the E. Berlin W. Methodist Church, where he listened to the truths of the
gospel for many years.

   IONIA STANDARD, 7-26-1895 (278-7):  "Brief Mention - Jerome P. Bennett of
Berlin died Monday of heart disease at age 67.  Funeral services Tuesday at 1:30
at Shilton Church."
