The Ionia Daily Sentinel, November 14, 1947
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Fales Huffman funeral 
home in Belding for Fred Bennett, 80, who died Sunday morning at his Orleans 
farm home where he was born.  The Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated with interment 
in Orleans cemetery.

His bearers were Nelson Haysmer, Charles Stoddard, Rollie Young, Ernest Leach, 
Walter Yeomans and G. E. Petersen.

Surviving Mr. Bennett are one son Roy; a daughter, Hazel Durfey of Grand 
Rapids; 3 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
