LITTLE DONALD BENNETT DIES FROM LOCKJAW FRIDAY

Donald Bennett, 3 year-old son of Mr and Mrs Willard Bennett, died at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids, Friday afternoon, following a two weeks 
illness with lockjaw.

The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First U.B. Church here, 
the Rev. John Price, the pastor officiating. Music was furnished by Virginia and 
Lyle Bartlett, children of Mr and Mrs Homer Bartlett, accompanied by their 
mother, Interment was made in Lakeside cemetery with Masters Ronald Hawkins, 
Jerry Barker, Frankie Bales and Bruce Hancock as pallbearers.

Relatives and friends from out of town who were in attendance at the services 
were Mr and Mrs Burr Snyder and son, Burr, Jr., Mrs M. Belle, Carl Sandoe, and 
Mrs Ella Bales of Battle Creek; Mr and Mrs Arthur Snyder and son Richard and Mr 
and Mrs Albion Wagner of Colon; Mr and Mrs Jack Martin and son Ronald and Larry 
of Southland, Ind.

Mr and Mrs E.J. Murty and son John of Ypsilanti; Mr. and Mrs G.W.Hawkins and son 
Ronald, Miss Margaret Barker, Mr and Mrs Robert Hancock, Mr and Mrs Elmer Lee of 
Lansing; Mr and Mrs M P. Hancock and son Bruce and daughter Elaine of Holt; Mr 
and Mrs W.P Hammond and Mr and Mrs.Lawrence Housel and son Duwayne of Alma.

Mr and Mrs D.U. LePard, Mrs. Lenna LePard and Jacob LePard of Grand Rapids; Mrs 
Tony Slagel and Frankie Bales of Caledonia; Mrs Arza and son Douglas of Ionia, 
and Mr and Mrs Gerald Barker and son Jerry and daughter, Joan of Grand Ledge.
