                 BENNETT

Margaret Theresa Bennett age 86, of Ionia, passed away March 23, 2025. She was 
born March 30, 1938 in Ionia the daughter of William Charles and Agnes Pearl 
(Abeis) Lesky. Margaret married Robert Bennett February 17, 1955.He preceded her 
in death March 27, 2024. She was also preceded in death by a son Willie Bennett, 
Mother and Father-N-Law,Fern (Charlie) Montgomery, Warren (June) Bennett. 
Granddaughter-Renanda Schafer, Grandson-Michael Makley, Great Grandchildren-
Dayna Mosher, Nicholas Bennett, Colton Sturgeon-Barber, Son-N-Law-Ron Daugherty.
Margaret came from a large family, those preceding her in death are her parents, 
brothers a& Sisters, Al (Greta), John(Aria, Jimmy, Phillip & Bill (Korky) Lesky.
Sisters & brother-N-laws, Dorothy Lesky, Annie (Jim) Langdon, Edna (Bud) 
Gommenson, Florence (Hildi) Hildabrandt, Donna (Joe) Schueller, Bill Seymour, 
Dave Cahill.
Also Sister-in=-law; Muggins Yahr, Doris Hopkins, Lillian (Pat) Madison, Joanne 
Robinson, Shirley Bennett.
Brothers-n-law; Bobby Williams, Silas Bennett,Jerry Shook, Dan Peoples, and 
Church Yahr.

Surviving Margaret are her children; Rochelle(Dan) Makley of Ionia, Robbie 
(Annie Misner) Bennett of Ionia, Peggy (Darryle Bowman) Daugherty of Houghton 
Lake, Laurie (Dirk) Lake of Ionia. 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 
great-great grandchildren.
Surviving her are sisters; Mary Seymour and Phyllis Cahill.
Sister-n-laws; Sherry Shook of Lansing, Gloria (Ken) King of Indiana, Madeline 
(Gary) Hunter of Moddersville, Jean Peoples of California Linda (Ron) 
Dankenbring of Ionia, Nancy (Wayne) Morgridge of Ionia.
Brothers-n-law; George (Jackie) Bennett, Terry Madison.

She worked as a meter maid in Ionia, a bartender and at Western Auto.Margaret 
loved collecting Hummingbirds and Coins. She knitter and enjoyed shopping from 
catalogs.Margaret was known to always have a smartie in he pocket or purse for 
you.

Graveside services will be in Eastern Cemetery on Friday, March 28th at 11:00 
a.m. with Pastor Dale Oiling of Shiloh Community Church officiating, luncheon 
following at the church.

There will be a visitation at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Thursday 4-6
