Mrs. Bennett was 73 years old, and leaves three sons besides the daughter named: Peter and Soreno of Danby, and William of Ionia. Mr. and Mrs. Witzel left this morning for Traverse City, and will accompany the remains to Ionia. The funeral will be held at the Witzel home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. ---- The remains of Mrs. Margaret Bennett, were brought to Ionia at 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon and taken by Director Bandfield to the home of Mrs. Gotlob Witzel, her daughter on Welton street, whence the funeral was largely attended at 2:30 in afternoon and the remains taken to Balcom cemetery for interment. The officiating clergyman was Rev. E. E. Branch and Mrs. G. M. Phelps and Mrs. Frank Cressy sang. Mrs. Bennett’s length of residence in Ionia dates away back to the pioneer days, and during all the active years of her life, was a devoted worshipper at the Baptist church. The bearers were her three sons, C. C. Bennett and Peter Bennett of Portland, W. R. Bennett of Detroit, and son-in-law, Gotlob Witzel of Ionia.
