The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 11, 1967
Mrs. Alma Bennett, 78, formerly of Ionia, died at her home Monday.  She had 
resided at 322 East Oak Street in Harrison since 1963.  Mrs. Bennett was born 
in Berlin township, August 11, 1988 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Thomas J. Pickins.  December 19, 1906 she was married to Charles R. Bennett in 
Ionia and celebrated a golden wedding anniversary.  Mr. Bennett preceded her 
in death July 25, 1964.  Mrs. Bennett was a former resident of Berlin and 
Orange townships and Ionia.

Surviving are one son, Hobart Bennett of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Carmen 
Peterson of Harrison; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with 
burial at Balcom cemetery.
