Jay Bryan Bennett, 84, former Lyons resident, died Monday at Carson City 
Hospital.  Born July 11, 1901, in Bushnell Township, Montcalm County, he was 
the son of Fred and Lilly Bennett.  He attended Lyons Public Schools, worked 
as a metal finishing at Fisher Body in Lansing, and began farming in 1940.

Surviving is a brother, Clarence Bennett of Palo and several nieces and 
nephews.  A special friend, Ruth Benner, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir, 
with the Rev. Bette Dobbie of the Lyons United Methodist Church officiating.  
A memorial for the Michigan Heart Association has been established, in care of 
the funeral chapel.
