Burial was in the Letts cemetery in Berlin. The bearers were Harrison Sherwood, Leo Coulson, C. Coulson, and Kenneth Harwood. Rev. Margaret LeBarre, of Saranac, was in charge of the service and she with Mrs. John Smith furnished the music. Mrs. Bennett died Sunday morning following an illness of several months, which was attributed mainly to her advanced age. She was born in Jefferson County, O., January 7, 1850, being the daughter of John and Katherine Rudd. She lived here until she was 31 years of age. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bennett at the age of 24 years, and five children were born to this union , three of whom, Mrs. Katherine Dean, of Berlin, Mrs. Jennie Salisbury, Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Daisy Mertes, of Lyons, with the aged father survive. She also leaves seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Clinton and Charles Rudd, of Berlin, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Smith.
