Ionia Sentinel, 9 Nov 1998

Mrs. Elizabeth J. Bennett, 72, of Madison, Ala., formerly of Lake Odessa, 
passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in Huntsville, Ala.  She was born Jan 23, 
1926, in Flint, the daughter of Harold and Esther (Seely) Sims Sr.

She moved from Lake Odessa to Alabama 18 years ago.  Mrs. Bennett worked for 25 
years at the Chrysler Corporation.

Surviving are two sons, Max L. Bennett of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robert 
L. Bennett of Lansing; two daughters, Barbara E. Bennett of Madison, Ala., and 
Esther E. Dreves of Williamston; and four grandchildren.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband Herbert L. Bennett.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, 
with the Rev. A. Irby of Ionia officiating.  Visiting hours are 7 p.m. to 8:30 
p.m. today at the Rich Street Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.  Memorial 
contributions can be made to the CAP/WAW or the American Cancer Society in care 
of the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
