She was born May 17, 1898, in Montcalm county, the daughter of Loren Smith and Myrtle Brown Smith. She was married to Albert Bennett July 15, 1916. He preceded her in death March 21, 1949. Mrs. Bennett lived all her life in and around Ionia. Surviving her are her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Hubbard, of Long Lake; her father and step-mother, Mrs. and Mrs. Loren Smith, of Sheridan; two sons, H. L. Bennett at home and Ted of Ionia Route 1; a daughter, Patricia, at home; three grandchildren; seven brothers, Roy Smith of Ionia, Henry Hubbard of Fruitport, Vern Hubbard of Orleans, Ralph Hubbard of Saranac, John and Harold Hubbard of Muskegon; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Helms of Sheridan, Mrs. Eldie Rittersdorf of Muskegon and Mrs. Myrtle Clifford and Mrs. Marguerite Hawck? of Belding; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ted Bennett, of Ionia Route 1. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home. The Rev. Myron Hoyt of Lyons will officiate. Interment will be in Balcom cemetery.
