Ionia Sentinel, 26 Nov 1956

Seigel Bennett, 54, died unexpectedly at his home in Berlin township at 1:45 
a.m. Monday.  He was born in Berlin township November 6, 1902 and was a son of 
William and Orvilla Bennett.  Married to the former Harriett Simmons November 
20, 1928, they resided at their present farm home since 1933.

Surviving are his wife, Harriett, one daughter, Margaret Jean at home; two 
sons, William at home and Richard of Belding; two grandchildren; three 
brothers, George, Harold and Miles, all of Berlin township.  One daughter, Mary 
Jane died in 1941 at the age of seven.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Wednesday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. J. Lawrence Ward officiating.  Interment 
will be in the family lot, Balcom cemetery.
