The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 15, 1974
Lyle R. Bennitt, 88, of Hubbardston died Friday evening at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital.  Born in Hubbardston June 22, 1885, he was the son of 
Charles K. and Edith Bennitt and was a lifetime resident of that area.  He was 
former village president of Hubbardston and for 60 years a member of the 
Hubbardston Masonic lodge and was its past master.  He was sexton for the 
Hubbardston cemetery both East side and West side.

Surviving are the wife, the former Alta McVeigh; daughter, Mrs. Hannah Rinckey 
of Traverse City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Maxine Towne of Saginaw and Mrs. 
Hulda Schneider of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and ten great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday at 1 p.m. at Burns-Schnepp funeral home at Carson 
City.  Rev. Raymond Flessner will officiate and interment will be at West side 
cemetery at Hubbardston.  Members of the Hubbardston Masonic lodge were 
bearers.
