Glenn A. Bensinger, 94, of Midland, passed on to his heavenly home on Monday, 
November 6, 2006, at Brittany Manor in Midland. He was born on July 5, 1912 in 
Ionia, son of the late William and Emma (Piper) Bensinger. 

He was married in St. John's to Irene Bovie on August 25, 1940. She died on 
December 19, 2005. Together, they shared a long successful marriage of 65 
years. Their life was all about family as they made homes in Ionia, West 
Bloomfield, East Jordan and their wintertime home in Ft. Myers, Florida. Glenn 
had worked as a salesman in food service, retiring in 1977. 

He is survived by son, Richard Bensinger and daughter-in-law, Susan Stuewer 
and their children, Bradley, Dana (Samotis) and Adam Bensinger; son, Michael 
and LouAnn (Turner) Bensinger and their daughter, Megen Bensinger; and one 
great grandson, Ty Bensinger. 

Funeral services will take place at 12 noon Saturday, November 11, 2006, from 
the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street, Midland, 
Rev. Richard Helderop officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, 
East Jordan. Glenn's family will receive friends on at the funeral home on 
Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of 
sympathy are asked to consider the Boy Scouts of America or MidMichigan 
Hospice.
