Belding Banner – Thursday, 4 May 1911
Mrs. Amos M. Benton died at her home in Fredonia, South Dakota last week and 
her remains were brought to this city for interment in River Ridge cemetery 
Friday.  The deceased was formerly Miss Alice Martin, a sister of Dr. C. M. 
Martin of Seattle, Washington.  She and her husband went west twenty eight 
years ago where they have  since resided, also having a home in Pasadena 
California.  She was fifty two years old and leaves her husband and one son, 
Charles Benton.  Those in attendance at the burial service, from outside the 
city, were Mr. and Mrs. A. Moon of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Witt of 
Saranac, Mrs. Fred King of Hancock and Elmer Benton of Cedar Springs.
