Louise E. Bergquist, 95, formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at
Heritage Community Center in Kalamazoo.  She was born in Belding on Sept. 26,
1911, the daughter of Leland and Gladys Sipple Thompson.  She was a member of
First Congregational Church in Greenville and was retired as an executive
secretary from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co. of Greenville.

She married Carl D. Bergquist in 1940 in Greenville and he preceded her in death
in 1988.  She also was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Thompson, in
2005.  She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Susan B. Bensinger and
Mike Helms of Kalamazoo; her granddaughters, Jennifer and Steve Luitje of
Kalamazoo, Elizabeth and William Reicherts of Falls Church, Va.;
great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Luitje, Janet Luitje, Zachary Reicherts and
Nathan Reicherts.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville,
with her pastor, the Rev. Jerrold T. Jones, officiating.  Visitation is at 10
a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to First
Congregational Church, 126 E. Cass St., Greenville, Mich. 48838, or to the
Humane Society.
