Bertotti, 57, died suddenly at his home at 903 Third avenue, Lake Odessa, Thursday afternoon. He was born December 12, 1911 in Hurley, Wis., the son of Louis and Mary Bertotti and came to Lansing in 1929. August 7, 1937 he was married to Helen E. French of Vermontville. Moving to Lake Odessa in 1940, he was an employee of E.W. Bliss company of Hastings as a time keeper at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic church and chairman of ushers and leaders. A veteran of World War II he served with the armed forces in Germany, being wounded in action. Among his citations he received the Purple Heart. At the time of his death he was commander of LaVerne Demaray post 112 of American Legion and Lesky-Dulek chapter 29 of Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of Lake Odessa Lions club. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Mary at home; one son Michael stationed with the armed forces in Germany; one brother Tino Bertotti of Lansing, one sister Augustine Bertotti of Detroit. Body is at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa and funeral arrangements will be announced when word is received from the son in Germany.
