The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, November 16, 1967
Masonic funeral services for Arthur Best, 82, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at 
Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac.  Also officiating will be Rev. Terance 
Wood of Grand Rapids.  Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.  Mr. Best of 388 
South Bridge, Saranac died Wednesday evening at Ionia County Memorial hospital 
shortly after admittance.

Born October 12, 1885 in Lakeview, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Best 
and was married to Vera Glazier in Ionia, October 6, 1909.  Mr. and Mrs. Best 
have lived at their present address since 1931.  

A factory worker most of his adult life, he had worked in Ionia and at 
Universal in Saranac.  He and his wife were the first licensed tavern owners 
in Ionia county.  He was a life member of Boston township Masonic Lodge and 
also Loyal Order of Moose in Ionia.

Surviving are his wife Vera and several cousins.
