Ionia County Shopper's Guide, 26 Sep 2009

Ellen M. Bever, age 79, of Lake Odessa, passed away on Wednesday morning,
September 23, 2009 at Thornapple Manor in Hastings.  Ellen is survived by her
loving husband, Freeman; children: Suellen Stubbs, Clyde (Barbara) Bever, Ruth
Bever, and Elaine (Ray) Hummel; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren;
brother, Marsden Guild; sister-in-law, Geraldine Bever; and many nieces and
nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marshall Bever; two
granddaughters; sisters, Freda Meister and Margarite Gidley; and brother, Curtis
Guild.  The memorial service will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel at 11:00
a.m. on Saturday, September 26.  Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.  In
lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions may be
made to Barry Community Hospice, or the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post #4461 Ladies
Auxiliary.
