Mrs. Mary E. Bever, 83, of Lake Odessa died Saturday afternoon at a Belding rest
home.  She was born November 19, 1886 in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Robert
and Lucinda Jones Shaw.  She was married March 13, 1907 to Clyde Bever who died
in 1955.  A resident of Lake Odessa most of her life she was a member of
Lakewood United Methodist church and the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert Shellenbarger of Clarklake and Mrs.
Royal Haller of Lake Odessa; three sons Earl of Belton, Gail of Grand Rapids and
Freeman of Saranac; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs.
Nancy Chapin of Detroit, Mrs. Millie Rogers of Portland, Mrs. Lauretta Gregg and
Mrs. Grace Ackerson both of Sunfield.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake
Odessa.  Rev. Wilbur Williams will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside
cemetery.
