LAKE ODESSA- Ernest C. Bever, 86, of Lake Odessa, died Friday, April 1 at 
Barry County Medical Care Facility.

He was born Aug. 21, 1896, in Lake Odessa, the son of Alvin and Henrietta 
Gilliland Bever. He attended the Lake Odessa Schools and married Gertrude 
Klopfenstine in 1918. She preceded him in death in February 1973.

He lived most of his life in the Lake Odessa area and was employed by Motor 
Wheel in Lansing for 33 years, retiring in 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Florence Bush of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Eva 
Slater of Lansing, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two 
great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral 
Chapel in Lake Odessa, with Rev. Randall Kohls officiating. Burial will be 
in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
